The history of the bridal bouquet

Have you ever wondered why the bridal bouquet is used today?  The bouquet actually dates back to ancient times.  Back then the bouquet didn’t consist of flowers though.  The bride would carry around bunches of garlic, herbs, and spices believed to ward off evil spirits.  In ancient Greece and Rome both the bride and groom wore garland around their necks symbolizing new life, hope, and fertility.  The garland also consisted of herbs and spices.  When Queen Victoria and Prince Albert got married in 1840 the herbs and spices were replaced with fresh flowers, mostly marigolds.  In Victorian times flowers became the secret messengers of lovers; each flower having it’s own meaning. The flowers that were chosen for the bouquet were chosen because of their meaning.  However in modern times flowers are chosen by the bride because of their shape and color.  They choose flowers that fit their style and personality.

What sets Suspended In Time ahead of competitors?

Suspended In time’s flower preservation services far exceed other methods of floral preservation.  At Suspended In Time our drying time takes anywhere from three to five days.  Other methods of flower  preservation take about eight to twelve weeks.  With such a short drying period, our turn around time to the customer is much shorter than other methods, and there is very little flower deterioration.

Color retention and the shape of the flowers are much better with the Suspended In Time method because the drying process is so short.  Suspended In time can preserve any flowers.  There are some flowers and greenery that competitors can not dry.  When preserving arrangements, we use the original flowers.  We dry the greenery and never replace anything with silks.

At Suspended In Time we use many different specialty items that help set us apart from other methods.  We seal all of our encasements keeping out moisture and air that can damage dried flowers.  Suspended In Time’s domes are museum quality.  They have the highest UV protection available.  This is a higher quality than the industry standard.  These domes are made specifically for Suspended In Time.  Our products are made with heirloom quality in mind.  It is a treasure that can be passed down from generation to generation.

The cost of Suspended In Time’s floral preservation services is significantly lower than our competitors.  The cost depends on the encasement you choose, and includes everything.  It includes the preservation process, the labor, the design, the sealing, the encasement products, and an engraving.  As long as it fits in the encasement you choose, you can add any extras such as your cake and knife server, a picture, an invitation, etc.  Suspended In Time is a unique company that preserves the memories of the special moments of your life.
